The Human Behind the Therapist
Before diving into therapy, I spent years capturing people's stories for publications like Business Insider, Vice, and Teen Vogue. What stuck with me most? The incredible healing that happens when someone finally feels deeply heard and understood.
Who I Show Up For
I work best with adults and teens dealing with:
Identity questions and "who am I really?" moments
Anxiety that won't quit and stubborn depression
The exhausting cycle of perfectionism and overachieving
Relationships that feel complicated or draining
That persistent feeling of being disconnected or alone
Creative minds looking to break free from constraints
How I Approach Our Work
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I combine evidence-based practices like EMDR with mindfulness techniques that actually work in real life. My training from the University of Colorado, Denver taught me the technical stuff, but my journalism background taught me how to truly listen.
I see you as a whole person—mind, body, and spirit all working together. This isn't about fixing what's "broken"—it's about reconnecting with your natural strengths and building from there.
Ready to start?
Look, I know reaching out can feel scary. But here's the thing—you've already done the hardest part by looking for support. Whether you're navigating a major life shift or just feel stuck, I'm here to walk beside you—no judgment, just practical support and a genuine belief in your capacity to grow.
When I'm Not In Therapist Mode
You'll find me hitting the trails for runs that clear my head, spinning tracks as a DJ at the community radio station, hosting conversations on my podcast So, What Brings You to Therapy, and probably obsessing over animals a bit too much.
As a mom of two, I'm right there in the trenches with you—figuring out how to show up for others while not completely losing myself in the process. These parts of my life aren't separate from my work as your therapist—they're what help me truly get the messy, beautiful complexity of building an authentic life.
