Support for Life’s Ups, Downs, and Everything In Between
Hi, I’m Deana.
I help adults, especially women and LGBTQ+/queer clients, navigate life’s ups and downs—from stress and relationship challenges to recovery and big transitions. I take an eclectic, personalized approach, blending mindfulness, somatic work, person-centered therapy, and EMDR to help you tap into your strengths, grow self-compassion, and move toward a life that feels more grounded and authentic.
As a creative person, I bring a flexible, curious lens to therapy. I enjoy using creative and narrative-based approaches like metaphor, storytelling, and perspective shifts to help make sense of experiences that don’t always fit neatly into words. This often opens up new insight, self-understanding, and possibility. All of this work is grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based care.
I love working with people who want support and honesty. In session, we’ll sit with the hard stuff, celebrate wins, and maybe even laugh along the way. My goal is to help you build practical tools for your journey while keeping therapy real and relatable.
Three random facts about me:
Before becoming a therapist, I was a journalist. I’ve written for Teen Vogue, Business Insider, Vice and I’ve even interviewed Sabrina Carpenter.
I’m training my rescue dog, June, to be a therapy dog. 🐾
I’m a volunteer DJ at Boulder’s community radio station, KGNU. 🎶
I love trail running. No matter the weather, you’ll usually find me out on the trails with my dog.
