Deana Bianco, MA, LPCC
Individual & Couples Therapist in Boulder, Colorado

Hi, I’m Deana.

I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Candidate providing in-person therapy in Boulder, Colorado, and secure telehealth throughout Colorado.

I work with adults and couples who are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and major life transitions.

Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who are ready to better understand themselves, explore patterns that no longer feel helpful, and create a life that feels more connected and aligned.

My Approach

Before becoming a therapist, I was a journalist, writing for publications including Vice, Teen Vogue, Business Insider, and Self Magazine.

That experience shaped the way I work today. I learned the importance of listening closely, asking meaningful questions, and understanding the stories people carry.

In therapy, I look beyond what is happening on the surface. I’m interested in the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that shape how we see ourselves, relate to others, and move through the world.

My approach is warm, direct (I’m a New Yorker), and collaborative. We’ll make space for the hard things while also noticing your strengths, resilience, and what is already working.

Training & Experience

My clinical experience includes working in addiction treatment settings, supporting individuals navigating recovery, trauma, and major life transitions.

I draw from EMDR-informed therapy, somatic approaches, narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I tailor therapy to each person’s unique story, needs, and goals.

A Bit About Me

Outside of therapy, I’m training my rescue dog June to become a therapy dog, volunteering as a DJ at Boulder’s KGNU, and trail running in the mountains whenever I can.

I believe every person’s story is complex, and therapy can be a place to understand where you’ve been while creating what comes next.
